My Therapeutic Approach
What type of therapy do you provide?
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with over 11 years of experience. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, trauma (PTSD), behavioral issues, and stress management. I focus on helping clients navigate life transitions and build emotional resilience.
What therapeutic methods (modalities) do you use?
My approach is trauma-informed and tailored to your specific needs. I utilize evidence-based modalities including EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Trauma-Focused CBT, and Attachment Theory. I also have specialized training in Child-Parent Psychotherapy and Functional Family Therapy to support complex family dynamics.
Do you specialize in Adoption and Foster Care?
Yes. I have extensive experience supporting families navigating the foster care and adoption systems. I understand the unique challenges regarding attachment, trauma history, and system involvement, and I work closely with parents to build stronger, healthier connections with their children.
Do you offer therapy in Spanish?
Yes. I am fully bilingual and provide culturally competent therapy services in both English and Spanish to best support your needs.
Insurance, Fees & Rights
Do you accept insurance?
Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross California, Blue Shield of California, Carelon Behavioral Health, Cigna & Cigna EAP, GTEB, Kaiser Permanente (including NorCal), Oxford (Optum), Quest Behavioral Health, United Healthcare (Medicare Advantage & Optum), Other Insuraces Contact me to check elegibility. We can also provide "Superbills" for out-of-network reimbursement.
What are your rates?
I believe in transparency regarding costs, so please contact me directly if you have questions about sliding scale options or payment methods.
What is a Good Faith Estimate?
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services.
Telehealth & Logistics
How does online therapy (telehealth) work?
I offer therapy exclusively via telehealth (secure video or phone) for residents throughout the state of California. This allows you to receive professional support from the comfort and privacy of your own home.
Can I see you if I am outside of California?
No. Due to licensing regulations, I can only provide therapy to individuals who are physically located in California at the time of our session.
What if I have an emergency?
Please note that Well Mind California is not an emergency service. If you or a loved one is experiencing a mental health crisis or is in danger, please call 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), call 911, or go to your nearest emergency room immediately.
